Nexus aka Eutechnik
Nexus / Eutechnik is available for live and DJ sets, sound design & remix projects and installations/concept projects. The “Silicone Poplars Dancing Alien Troupe” is also available, either with Nexus as a package or separately.
Nexus is a Dublin/Berlin-based composer and performer of sparse ambient electronica mixed with breakbeat, glitch and homemade electronics. Live sets usually include a homemade interface which tracks the movement of gameboy cartridges and chess pieces to control sound events. These homemade devices and interfaces have been on public display as interactive installations, but mostly play the part of instruments in live performances. He has shared stages with Cylob, Sunken Foal, Creator, Herv, DJ Scotch Egg, Miles Iwes, T-woc, Sarsparilla, Cignol, Puzzleweasel, The Last Sound and to have been invited to perform at the Project Arts Centre, UCC, NUIM, Mantua, Life and Tweak Festival.
Eutechnik is a beat-driven project by the Irish ambient electronic artist Nexus. Eutechnik tracks are more electro and trip-hop oriented in comparison. Due for a release in mid 2010 the tracks are a mixture of originals, remixes and collaborations with artists from the UK, Berlin and Ireland.
