//BIOGRAPHY
Kill Ref, born as Alessandro Signore, started his own musical path in the early 1994 DJing at several small independent techno parties located between Rome and Naples. His sound has always straightaway pointed out his natural suitability for an avantagarded style such both regarding Autechre’s And Aphex Twin’s visionary rhythmic choices, the strong heirlooms of Mills’ and Hood’s Detroit techno, the Rotterdam ravish hardtouch, the industrial echoes of the early Nitzer Ebb and Front242. Actually more regardless of any time signature, KR can inspire people both moving and travelling through an ecstatic obsessive dance: that’s the simplest and then purest meaning of the complexshaped language inside his dancefloor appeal. The everlasting love for the industrial landscapes and ruins and then the growing dark influence affecting his hybrid productions can let KR glaringly be considered as the “industrial-techno forerunner married with an electronic glitching, drilling hyperuranium”.

San Francisco native Jay Fields aka Exillon is available for live sets in October 2011.
With releases on Ad Noiseam, Tigerbeat6, Detroit Undergroud, Zod Records, Contortion, Phthalo, Component Records and Puzzling Records spanning techno, DnB, acid, IDM, ambient, dub and everything in between, Jay Fields is less concerned with sticking to predefined genres as he is with bombing the dancefloor whilst setting an introspective mood.
Chevron is electronic music producer Jonathan Valentine. After experimenting with synths and samplers at school in Blackpool, he moved to Brighton where he lived with Shitmat and Tim Exile, and naturally became involved with the infamous Wrong Music crew. He now resides at his studio in central London.
His music is a melting pot of a wide range of dance styles from acid and ambient to dubstep, garage and jungle, with a large dose of electro, rave and techno. Intricate rhythms, interesting time signatures and quirky poppy melodies are a characteristic of his sound. His debut album “Everything’s Exactly The Same” on Mike Paradinas’s Planet Mu label received praise in DJ Mag, I-DJ, Rock Sound and The Wire. Releasing original music over the years on 030303, Ad Noiseam, Acroplane, The Centrifuge, Planet Mu and many more led to great reviews at BBC.co.uk, Boomkat, and Vice Magazine. His music has been played on radio stations worldwide.
Recently Chevron has been honing his live performance, which involves live use of the genre-defining TB-303 bassline synthesizer, modular synthesis, live sampling and analogue drum machines. His long-awaited forthcoming album “Obstacles” is to be released late 2011 complete with remixes from Altern-8′s Mark Archer, DMX Krew, Luke Vibert and EOD.
Please email us at (agency [at] thecentrifuge.co.uk) to discuss a booking, with as much information as you can give us. Date, Location, Venue Size, Budget, Lineup. We are able provide other live acts and DJs as required.

In 2002, Leonardo Barbadoro (class of 1987), guitarist in several groups of post rock inspiration, took the name of Koolmorf Widesen and begins composing his first pieces with the help of his small Korg synthesizer, an old Roland drum machine and a guitar pushed to extreme feedback.
A few years later, the first official disc for the Roman label (ECG) is the first Koolmorf Widesen disc officially out in May 2007. During the year several pieces were used for some contemporary art exhibitions in Milano, Venice, Rome, Florence and Genova. After a promo CD in May 2008, Koolmorf Widesen’s second album “Melodies Fork Now” is released for the Italian label Eves. After the first self-titled released album in 2007 for ECG there were two years of hard work: many intense live performances (in England, Scotland, Belgium, Holland, Italy and Austria where he shared the stage with artists like Apparat, Dj Spooky, The Bug, 808 State, Bong Ra, Fuck Buttons, Tim Exile, Mochipet, Harmonic 313 just to mention a few) and some meticulous music writing composition.
These two things gave birth to the two drivers which exist in Melodies Fork Now; on one side we can find the pulsations of nervous and abrasive jungle, of breakcore, dubstep, acid-electro and a preference for an analogue sound. On the other side we can find the most intellective soul of music research, some forays in the traditional and electroacoustic composition for strings and piano and some post-rock guitars. Not forgetting a rich series of music cinema quotations that the most astute listeners can find all through the album. The CD is rich in influences, contaminations and in experimentations. In 2009 he contributed to a few compilations with some origingal tracks for the following labels: Illphabetik (Denmark), The Centrifuge (England), Caoutchou (Belgium), Zenatron (Italy) & Ideation Rec. (Scotland).
At present Leonardo Barbadoro is attending High Education College Cherubini in Florence to take a degree in composition and electronic music and he’s composing new pieces for his follow up EPs.
Compilation:
2008: “Rubber Beats Vol.1” (Caouthcou Records) with the new track Stun e day
2009: “Anyone Can Make Dubstep” (The Centrifuge) with the new track Bow94
2009: “Beats for Bassbins and Braincells” (Ideation Records) with the track Sea Breeze
2009: “Reconciled Unity” (Illphabetik) with the track K21
2009: “Zenatron vol.3” (Zenatron) with the track The Cowboy
2009: “The Centrifuge Remixed” (The Centrifuge) with a remix of Gash Rash (original by Scrubber Fox)
2009: “Axis of Amity” (The Centrifuge) with the track Reflexionimoktober

Herv also preforms live on a regular basis. His current live show incorporates elements of his own material chopped and blended with classic jungle and rave tunes. He has played such events as the 030303 Rave Edition 4 in Utrecht, Wrong Music XMas Megarave in Brighton, numerous Irish festivals such as D.E.A.F., Mantua, Life Festival, Feile Le Cheile and Rathlin/Jigs and Rigs, and toured in Poland, Germany, Holland and Estonia.
Ewan is also one half of the electronic improvisation/musique concrete duo “Gland and Conduit” with Meljoann Ryan and their first album “Ore” is due for release in early 2010 on the Second Square to None label. He also occassionally records similar solo sound design material as “Muttermal”.
Press Quotes:
“…a rave inspired experimental break-acid-core thrill ride of endless ideas and possibilities…melodies evolve and twist, beats fracture and congeal and synths collide! It’s exciting!” (Jason Forrest, Cock Rock Disco)
“Another artist who breaks out of the mould is Herv…informed by Gameboy sounds, classical elements and innovative phrases that loop and morph into something wholly unique. Though his music is largely laptop-based, live he’s a joy to watch, contorting his body to each break and beat in his music, and when the genre you play is breakcore, that’s a smorgasbord of breaks and beats to gesture to.” (Niall Byrne, The State)
“Like watching late period Rick Wakeman being attacked by robots made out of old spring coils. And if you don’t think that’s a pretty appealing vision, well then, you’re missing a few mental teeth.” (Byron Coley, The Wire)
“A vicious aural assault of breakcore, chip tunes and gabba was bestowed on all that gathered, delivered by a tall bald bespeckled man on stage who appeared to have some kind of electric charge surging through his body…” (John Lillis, Limerick Event Guide.)
“…the best/fun rave/mash sets I’ve seen: totally the style of music and mixing I like to hear….” (Henry Collins aka Shitmat, Wrong Music/Planet Mu)
An ex-Sublight talent discovered by none other than Mr Aaron Funk (aka Venetian Snares) and counting such luminaries as Richard Devine, Kid606, Wisp and Phoenecia as ardent fans, Gareth Clarke’s lush, sophisticated melodies intertwine with clean, crisp post-jungle beats for the perfect pleasure amalgam for body and brain. We are mighty proud to have this insanely talented fella on our books! Big things to come including a very cool label announcement very soon, check the tracks below for an exclusive taster of his future releases.
